Project context and challenges
During the extension project of the CFPPA OFA Roanne Chervé Noirétable, supervised by MHK Conseils and the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, an old hydrocarbon storage tank from a former automotive workshop contained 50 m³ of highly polluted sludge (14% dry matter).
The main challenge was achieving rapid sludge drying, safe and controlled sludge conditioning, and efficient sludge dewatering to ensure smooth and compliant excavated material and spoil management.
The APROMUD® super-dryer was applied on-site to stabilize the sludge before its transfer to an approved treatment facility.
Product application method
The implementation process is simple, fast, and perfectly suited for sites requiring immediate sludge treatment:
- Spread APROMUD® over the liquid sludge
- Mix and wait approximately 15 minutes for the drying action to occur
- Excavate the now solidified and shovel-ready sludge
This method ensures controlled stabilization, optimal conditioning, and fast handling of polluted sludge.
